123por Sultan, Sonia E, Horgan-Kobelski, Tim, Nichols, Lauren M, Riggs, Charlotte E, Waples, Ryan K“…The future spread and impact of an introduced species will depend on how it adapts to the abiotic and biotic conditions encountered in its new range, so the potential for rapid evolution subsequent to species introduction is a critical, evolutionary dimension of invasion biology. Using a resurrection approach, we provide a direct test for change over time within populations in a species' introduced range, in the Asian shade annual Polygonum cespitosum. …”

124Understanding desiccation tolerance using the resurrection plant Boea hygrometrica as a model system“…Unlike many other so called “resurrection plants,” the detached leaves of B. hygrometrica also possess the same level of capacity for desiccation tolerance (DT) as that of whole plant. …”

We also show that sporophytic DME activity exerts a profound effect on the transcriptome of developing Arabidopsis plants, including discrete groups of regulatory genes that are misregulated in dme-2 mutant tissues, allowing us to potentially link phenotypes to changes in specific gene expression pathways. …”
