“…The H(2) release rate as a function of reaction time exhibited a volcano plot under visible light irradiation, indicating that a self-activation process occurred in the hydrolytic dehydrogenation of AB due to additional oxygen vacancies arising from in situ reduction of WO(3−x) nanowires by AB, and thus an enhanced localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR). …”

Staff vacancies, redeploying of AMS staff to other duties and meeting the burden related to the COVID-19 and lack of resources were the most frequently identified contributing factors to withheld AMS activities during the pandemic. …”

“…The specific porous structure formed by the stack of hydrotalcite-derived Ni(1.5)Co(0.5)AlO nanosheets can increase the transfer mass efficiency of the reactants (O(2), NO, and soot) and the strong Pt–Ni(1.5)Co(0.5)AlO interaction can weaken the Ni/Co-O bond for promoting the mobility of lattice oxygen and the formation of surface-oxygen vacancies. The Pt(n)/Ni(1.5)Co(0.5)AlO catalysts exhibited excellent catalytic activity and stability during diesel soot combustion under the loose contact mode between soot particles and catalysts. …”

“…It is considered that the electron transfer between OH(−)(H(2)O)(4) and ZnO NWs will forms a hydroxyl‐like intermediate state (OH*) on the top of Zn(2+), leading to the band bending of ZnO and activating the reactive O(2) (−) ions on the oxygen vacancies. The active‐ion‐gated strategy proposed here present a novel exploration to achieving RT gas sensing performance of MOS by activating sensing properties at the scale of ions or atoms.…”

“…This paper reports a structural analysis performed on deuterated polymer membranes based on syndiotactic polystyrene (sPS) using an extended Q-range SANS and WANS combination, always with the same neutron scattering instrument, either a pinhole SANS diffractometer installed at a research reactor or a ‘small- and wide-angle’ time-of-flight diffractometer installed at a neutron spallation source. sPS is a semi-crystalline material that becomes hydrophilic and proton conducting when suitable functionalization is achieved by thin film sulfonation, and can form various co-crystalline complexes (clathrates) with small organic molecules stored in the crystalline phase as guests in the vacancies between the polymer helices. Therefore, this material is interesting not only for its conducting properties but also for its versatility as a model system to evaluate the usefulness of extended Q-range neutron scattering in such studies. …”

We included a simpler FCA model, omitting the latter three parameters, and a human capital approach (HCA) model. …”
