“…IntroducciónAnte la necesidad de realizar cambios en la Universidad Autónoma Chapingo (UACh), la Dirección de Centros Regionales Universitarios (DCRU), ha puesto en marcha diversas iniciativas educativas, basadas en la reorientación de la investigación y en el impulso a la vinculación, que permitan capitalizar la experiencia del personal académico en programas de formación de recursos humanos, con lo que se busca incrementar la cobertura educativa y calidad en los servicios que ofrece la UACh a nivel nacional.En este contexto, surge la propuesta de iniciar una maestría con orientación profesional, bajo la modalidad mixta, es decir, un programa que combine lo presencial con la educación a distancia, que permita, por un lado, atender la demanda de capacitación de profesionales con compromisos laborales que requieren ser adiestrados en áreas de especialización, y por el otro, serlo bajo una modalidad que permita aprovechar su tiempo libre y combine exitosamente la ubicación geográfica.Con este programa se articulan también las experiencias docentes, de investigación y vinculación en las diferentes regiones en donde se desenvuelven los profesores e investigadores de los centros regionales, y éstas a su vez se transforman en objetos de aprendizaje especializado.Con la conjunción del nuevo paradigma educativo y el uso de tecnologías de la información y comunicación, se diseñó un modelo académico que se constituye en un gran reto para su instrumentación, con lo cual se capitalizará la oportunidad institucional de operar proyectos estratégicos de gran alcance. …”
