9504por Nieto, Elva Gonzales, Gutierrez, Oscar Huaman, Moran, Nancy Rojas, Castañeda, Cesar Cordova“…METHODS: Twelve female BALB/c mice were divided into four groups, each of which was fed with a different diet: Normal diet (ND), with 21% fat; HFD, with 49% fat; HFD, containing 0.1% pulverized M. pyrifera algae (pMpa) and, HFD containing 1% pMpa. Female mice began receiving their assigned diets seven days before pregnancy and continued until weaning, after which the offspring received the same diet until the end of the experiment. …”

The three major channels (O1, O4, and Cl1 channels) are present in all species investigated; however, some differences exist in the reported structures that arise from the different composition and arrangement of membrane extrinsic subunits between the species. …”

9507por Lee, Jun-Woo, Lee, Min-Woo, Jin, Chun-Zhi, Oh, Hee-Mock, Jin, EonSeon, Lee, Hyung-Gwan“…BACKGROUND: Membrane lipid remodeling involves regulating the physiochemical modification of cellular membranes against abiotic stress or senescence, and it could be a trigger to increase neutral lipid content. In algae and higher plants, monogalactosyldiacylglycerol (MGDG) constitutes the highest proportion of total membrane lipids and is highly reduced as part of the membrane lipid remodeling response under several abiotic stresses. …”

Stephen, Dizdaroglu, Miral“…Previously, AFB(1)–N7-Gua-(15)N(5) was prepared by reacting AFB(1)-exo-8,9-epoxide with the uniformly (15)N(5)-labeled DNA isolated from algae grown in a pure (15)N-environment, followed by alkali treatment, resulting in the conversion of AFB(1)–N7-Gua-(15)N(5) to AFB(1)–FapyGua-(15)N(5). …”

9509por Evers, Maurits, Huttner, Michael, Dueck, Anne, Meister, Gunter, Engelmann, Julia C.“…We show that miRA outperforms the currently best plant miRNA prediction tools both in sensitivity and specificity, for data involving Arabidopsis thaliana and the Volvocine algae Chlamydomonas reinhardtii; the latter organism has been shown to exhibit a heterogeneous and complex precursor population with little cross-species miRNA sequence conservation, and therefore constitutes an ideal model organism. …”

The average egg weight over the entire period of the experiment revealed significant differences between the experimental groups and represented in the control group 65.20 vs. 66.88, 66.87 and 68.10 and 68.13 g in the MAS+ and MAS++, and DSM+ and DSM++ groups, respectively. …”
