264901por Wabitsch, Martin, Moss, Anja, Reinehr, Thomas, Wiegand, Susanna, Kiess, Wieland, Scherag, André, Holl, Reinhard, Holle, Rolf, Hebebrand, Johannes“…In a randomized controlled trial (RCT) we will investigate the effectiveness of a low key group intervention not focusing on weight loss but aimed at the provision of obesity related information, alleviation of social isolation, school and vocational integration and improvement of self-esteem in comparison to a control group treated in a conventional way with focus on weight loss. Interested individuals who fulfill current recommended criteria for weight loss surgery will be provided with a structured preparation and follow-up programs. …”

264902“…Our results showed that A549 cells grown in CM followed by gamma irradiation exhibited higher clonogenic survival and lower DNA damage measured in terms of gamma-H2AX foci. Interestingly, these CM-treated A549 cells in response to radiation showed phosphorylation of ATF-2 at Ser 490/498 (not at Thr69/71), which was co-localized with gamma-H2AX foci. …”

264903por Stadler, Marc, Læssøe, Thomas, Fournier, Jacques, Decock, Cony, Schmieschek, Beata, Tichy, Hans-Volker, Peršoh, Derek“…In the rDNA based phylogenetic tree, Daldinia appears clearly distinct from members of the genera Annulohypoxylon and Hypoxylon; nevertheless, representatives of small genera of predominantly tropical origin (Entonaema, Phylacia, Ruwenzoria, Rhopalostroma, Thamnomyces) appear to have evolved from daldinioid ancestors and are nested inside the Daldinia clade. Interestingly, these findings correlate with chemotaxonomic characters to a great extent, especially regarding the distribution of marker metabolites in their mycelial cultures. …”

Interestingly, a new source of Al tolerance via ZmMATE1 was identified in a Brazilian elite line that showed high expression of ZmMATE1 but carries a single copy of ZmMATE1. …”

Interestingly, inhibition of p53 using one specific inhibitor (Pifithrin-α) and silencing of p53 using siRNAs overcome the inhibitory effect of BBR on cell growth. …”

Interestingly, a poor agreement between cardiac output and Pv-aCO(2) was observed (r(2) = 0.025, p < 0.01) at different points of resuscitation. …”

Interestingly, the chimeric virus encoding VP0 of O/Fujian/CHA/9/99tc, and the site-directed mutant encoding Gln-2080 → Leu in VP2 of O/Tibet/CHA/6/99tc could bind to HS, but there was no expression of the 3A protein of these two viruses in WT-CHO cells. …”

Interestingly, both CBF leukemia fusion proteins and miR-17, which targets RUNX1-3′UTR, negatively affect a common core RUNX1-miRNA mechanism that forces myeloid cells into an undifferentiated, KIT-induced, proliferating state. …”
