Sumario: | One of the basic responsibilities of the ATLAS Level 1 Central Trigger Processor is the distribution of timing signals, for example, the ∼ 40MHz bunch crossing signal from the accelerator, to the various parts of the detector. This is necessary in order to be able to synchronize the different signals coming from all the sub-detectors, so as to be able to reconstruct physical objects, and conduct correct measurements. For this reason, a monitoring tool has been developed, that is able to detect abnormatities in the bunch crossing or any other different timing signal. |
