Light-by-light scattering in lead-lead collisions in the ATLAS experiment
Light-by-light (LbyL) scattering, $\gamma\gamma\rightarrow\gamma\gamma$, is a quantum-mechanical process, forbidden by the classical theory of electrodynamics.
