TDIS installation in the LHC tunnel at Point 2, near ALICE
First unit of TDIS (target dump injection segmented), at Point 2 of the LHC tunnel during LS2. It is a machine-protecting device, a beam absorber, for the LHC equipment, located close to the point at which particles are injected from the Super Proton Synchrotron (SPS).
