$\Lambda$ and $\bar{\Lambda}$ Production in Central Pb-Pb Collisions at 40, 80, and 158 A$\cdot$GeV

Production of $\Lambda$ and $\bar{\Lambda}$ hyperons was measured in central Pb-Pb collisions at 40, 80, and 158 A$\cdot$GeV beam energy on a fixed target.
