Piquet Note: Setting-up the SPS 1-Turn Feedback, 1-Turn Feedforward and Longitudinal Damper

description For the SPS to operate as the LHC injector the impedance of the 200 MHz cavities had to be reduced much more than achievable with the 1-Turn Feedback operational in the late nineties. An upgrade program was therefore launched [1]. This resulted in the design and installation of an upgraded 1-Turn Feedback, a new 1-Turn Feedforward and a Longitudinal Damper acting via the 200 MHz Travelling Wave cavities. This work and its effect on the beam has already been presented [2],[3]. The present note is intended to provide a basis for setting up the loops: It is a collection of procedures with many pictures showing typical signals.
