On spline function approximations to the solution of Volterra integral equations of the first kind
A procedure, using spline functions of degree m, for the solution of linear Volterra integral equations of the first kind is presented. The method produces an approximate solution of class C/sup m-1/, is of order (m+1) and is shown to be numerically stable for m<or=4. (10 refs).
