A system of large multiwire driftchambers
The construction and the properties of large ( approximately=1 m/sup 2 /) multiwire driftchambers are described. The location accuracy, which depends on the chambers and on the read-out system is sigma =0.35 mm. This number was measured with a read-out system designed for the operation of 664 wires....
