description Obesity has increased dramatically in the World. The university population present a high ingestion of ultra-processed foods due to is easy Access. Studies have shown evidence of the relationship between the ingestion of ultra-processed foods and the chronic non-communicable diseases, particularly in young adults. Cross-sectional study, 187 students of Nutrition were included, an online food frequency questionnaire (FFQ) of ultra-processed food was applied to them. Self-reported weight and height data were obtained to calculate BMI. A linear regression was made between the ultra-processed food consumption and the BMI, using the SPSS statistical program. The entire population presented low ultra-processed food consumption, only 19% were overweight and 3% obese. Overall food consumption was not associated with being overweight and obese, but soda and alcohol consumption were.

Overall food consumption was not associated with being overweight and obese, but soda and alcohol consumption were.
