Naltrexone blocks alcohol-induced effects on kappa-opioid receptors in the plasma membrane

Naltrexone (NTX), a homologue of the opiate antidote naloxone, is an orally active long-acting mu-opioid receptor (MOP) antagonist used in the treatment of opiate dependence.
