The title compound, C(15)H(23)NO(3)S, is an unexpected 1,3-migration product in the addition of benzylzinc bromide to N-tert-butanesulfinyl iminoacetate. In the crystal structure, molecules are linked by N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds and weak C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds.
