The title compound, C(12)H(15)Cl(2)NO, was synthesized as an intermediate for the synthesis of the herbicide Acetochlor. The crystal structure exhibits weak intermolecular C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds, which link the molecules into zigzag chains along the b axis.
