In the title compound, C(18)H(13)Cl(2)NO(2), the quinoline ring system is almost planar (r.m.s. deviation 0.009 Å), and the phenyl and carboxylate planes are twisted away from it by 59.2 (1) and 65.9 (2)°, respectively.
