The Co(II) atom in the title complex, [CoCl(2)(C(4)H(5)N(3))(4)], exists in an all-trans Cl(2)N(4)Co octahedral geometry. The Co(II) atom lies on a special position of 2 site symmetry. Adjacent molecules are linked by N—H⋯N and N—H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional network.
