In the title compound, C(10)H(12)N(2)O(6)S, the nitro group is twisted slightly out of the plane of the aromatic ring, forming a dihedral angle of 20.79 (1)°. In the crystal, the molecules arrange themselves as a chain along the a axis through intermolecular C—H⋯O interactions.
