In the title molecule, C(16)H(10)O(8)S(2), the two aromatic rings form a dihedral angle of 87.97 (12)°. In the crystal structure, intermolecular O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds [O⋯O = 2.623 (3)–2.639 (3) Å] link the molecules into layers parallel to the ab plane.
