In the title compound, C(15)H(14)ClNO, the N—H bond is trans to the C=O bond. The dihedral angle between the two aromatic rings is 5.5 (2)°. In the crystal, intermolecular N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the molecules into chains running along the a axis.
