In the title compound, C(16)H(14)OS, the dihedral angle between the benzothiophene ring system and the benzene ring is 72.41 (12)°. A weak intermolecular C—H⋯π interaction from the benzene ring to the benzothiophene ring system is observed in the crystal structure.
