In the title compound, C(18)H(14)ClNO, the naphthalene ring system [maximum deviation = 0.014 (9) Å] forms a dihedral angle of 74.8 (2)° with the benzene ring. In the crystal, molecules are linked via N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds into chains propagating along [010].
