In the title compound, C(12)H(11)N(3)OS, the dihedral angle between the pyridine and thiophene rings is 46.70 (9)° and the C—N—N—C torsion angle is 178.61 (15)°. In the crystal, inversion dimers linked by pairs of N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds generate R (2) (2)(8) loops.
