Native Pyroglutamation of Huwentoxin-IV: A Post-Translational Modification that Increases the Trapping Ability to the Sodium Channel
Huwentoxin-IV (HWTX-IV), a tetrodotoxin-sensitive (TTX-s) sodium channel antagonist, is found in the venom of the Chinese spider Ornithoctonus huwena.
