In the title compound, C(18)H(17)ClO, the dihedral angle between the benzene rings is 53.5 (1)°. The mean plane of the prop-2-en-1-one group is twisted by 24.5 (8) and 33.5 (3)° from the chloro- and propanyl-substituted rings, respectively.
