Crystal structure of 2,5-dimethyl-3-(2-methylphenylsulfinyl)-1-benzofuran
In the title compound, C(17)H(16)O(2)S, the dihedral angle between the benzofuran ring system [r.m.s. deviation = 0.009 (1) Å] and the 2-methylphenyl ring is 86.72 (4)°. In the crystal, weak C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds link the molecules into columns along the b-axis direction.
