Accumulation of RNA-dependent protein kinase (PKR) in the nuclei of lung cancer cells mediates radiation resistance

We have previously demonstrated that radiation induced cell death in PKR (−/−) deficient mouse embryo fibroblasts (MEFs) but not in PKR (+/+) wild type MEFs.
