HBF(4)- and AgBF(4)-Catalyzed ortho-Alkylation of Diarylamines and Phenols
[Image: see text] A silver-tetrafluoroborate- or HBF(4)-catalyzed ortho-alkylation reaction of phenols and diarylamines with styrenes has been explored. A broad substrate scope is presented as well as mechanistic experiments and discussion.
