Regulation of astrocyte proliferation by prostaglandin E(2) and the α subtype of protein kinase C
We found that astrocytes expressed the α subtype of protein kinase C. Treatment with12-O-tetradecanoylphorbol 13-acetate (TPA) caused cultured astrocytes to proliferate.
