description The COVID pandemic hastened the urgency for continuing medical education providers to offer digitised learning options in their portfolios. Although digitisation offers a wealth of potential benefits for delivering CME, including individualised learning paths as well as convenience and ease of access, challenges also remain. The American College of Cardiology (ACC) digitised much of its CME portfolio, including converting several in-person courses to virtual formats, providing self-study programs and products for asynchronous review of focused clinical topics, and delivering its Annual Scientific Session and Expo virtually two consecutive years. The ACC is using data collected from these recent experiences to rebuild its digitally transformed CME portfolio, focusing on unique learning strategies that offer a global healthcare professional community access to high quality digitised continuing education.
