CycA-Dependent Glycine Assimilation Is Connected to Novobiocin Susceptibility in Escherichia coli
Escherichia coli serine hydroxymethyltransferase (GlyA) converts serine to glycine, and glyA mutants are auxotrophic for glycine. CycA is a transporter that mediates glycine uptake.
